Restaurant Refurbishments

Client: Cardamon Black
Project Value: 500k
Contract period: 16 weeks

The empire theatre building in Harrogate was first built in 1863, we carried out and completed the restoration and refurbishment works, it required a dedicated team both on site and in the workshop to complete the transformation. There was a substantial amount of structural works required, resulting in major new steels being installed to support the building, working closely with the architect and designers to ensure that much of the existing building and prominent fixtures within the 150 year old theatre, were retained.

Now completed and transformed, it was delivered over a 16 week programme with all variations & extra over costs agreed before works took place. Now a prestigious Indian Restaurant over 2 floors, we carried out every element of the works, from walls and ceilings to bespoke joinery, tiling the floors and steps, the installation of a disabled lift and a kitchen hoist to take the food the the various levels within the restaurant. The fit-out included all electrical works, CCTV, fire and intruder alarm, power and feature lighting.

We installed a 30 metre hardwood shop front with 3 separate entrances and sign boards, we also carried out the alterations and levelling of the pedestrian footpath and traditional Yorkshire paving to follow the line of the new shop front. All internal and external elevations we decorated to a finish by our in house professional team.

All handed over to the client, as per our contract and on budget.

The Completed Project is one that the client and Specialist Woodworking Interiors are extremely proud of.
